Dear Cucumber Friends,

September is here, and so is that familiar energy of changing seasons, new routines and a fresh outlook for the time ahead. After the vibrant, fiery energy of summer, maybe you feel really ready for it, and maybe you’re not quite there yet. Either way, finding your own rhythm is what will be most serving.

We’re certainly feeling ready to re-ground, re-centre and return to those routines that feel life-giving, whilst taking a fresh look at our self-care practices for the season ahead. There’s a sense of newness that feels alive, and we’re here for it.

Welcoming Janine Harris to The Fold
As many of you may already know, our Events & Hire Manager, Gail, is soon to become a Mumma and will be heading off on maternity leave from mid-October.

Janine is joining the team to take care of the Events and Hire side whilst Gail is away. You’re likely to start seeing a little more of her around Cucumber Fields over the coming weeks as she gets to know the space, the team and all that goes on behind the scenes. So please do help us give her a warm Cucumber Fields welcome.

With the theme of transitions in mind, our lovely Marina has decided to step away from hosting the Thursday evening class. We’ll of course really miss having Marina with us for this evening class (you can still practice with her on Saturday mornings), but we’re also excited to share that the very special Christian Coelho will be taking over the class from here on.

If you’re yet to have the pleasure of experiencing Christian’s teaching, you’re in for a real treat. He is an exceptional teacher who brings such depth of expertise, wisdom and soul to everything he offers. We’re proud to have had him on our timetable for the past couple of years, holding Monday morning classes, and are delighted that his offerings now extend to this Thursday evening class too.

We hope you’ll make the most of enjoying his classes throughout the week.

Tuesday 22nd September | 09.30 - 11.00 (90 mins)

This year, you’ve been deepening your exploration of philosophy and meditation with Paula during her Tuesday classes, and she now invites you to return to a more traditional class length. This specially extended monthly class allows you to fully work through your asana practice, while still leaving plenty of space for Savasana. This is all for the preparation to complete the class by cultivating a longer, stronger, more immersive seated meditation practice.
