Dear Cucumber Friends,

Each week we’re beautifully reminded of how important community is - that sense of belonging somewhere, belonging to a tribe, and connecting with like-minded souls who seek what you seek.

Every day we get to share these moments of connection with so many of you, and we are continually reminded and endlessly grateful for that opportunity.

Not only does it allow us to feel a great sense of purpose, but it also lifts up our hearts and spirits every time. We also have found our tribe, in YOU. Thank you.

Recently, we’ve had the pleasure of connecting with two inspiring women who are carving their own paths with authentic, health-focused products created with real passion and purpose. We’re proud to now be collaborating with Lucy Bee and The London Herbalist, and we’re excited to introduce them to you.

Lucy Bee was started back in 2012 by a family who had previously needed to adapt their lifestyle to meet the needs of their daughter, Lucy, who was diagnosed as coeliac at 18 months old.

Their Hertfordshire-based, family-run business started with the launch of their organic Fairtrade coconut oil (you may have seen it on socials over the years!) and has since grown into a thriving wellbeing company, with a following of over 142K on Instagram due to their authentic, and values-led approach.

The London Herbalist, founded by Dellna Illavia - a registered Medical Herbalist (MNIMH) with 30+ years experience, is a truly unique herbal tea company.

With a medical background, Dellna found herself moving away from Western medicine and towards herbs as her own experience with health challenges unfolded and she needed to find solutions to her condition that would be effective at the root cause.

Dellna began to use herbs not just as remedies, but also teachers. She says, ‘They showed me how the body, mind and nervous system speak to one another - and how healing begins when we truly listen.’

Every tea blend is bespoke, handmade by Dellna, with herbs selected for medicinal use, often to pharmacopoeial standards, with attention to quality, plant part, harvesting, drying, storage and active constituents. When she creates a tea, she is not just putting herbs together because they taste pleasant. She chooses each plant carefully, based on its traditional use, energetic quality and the science behind it.
