PIPPA JOHNSON
Pippa was properly introduced to yoga at Theatre School in 2008 to support her dance training but she quickly became hooked on the physical and emotional support it provided to her when she needed it most. Having always had a passion for health, fitness, anatomy and nutrition, she qualified as a fitness instructor which gave her greater understanding of the biomechanics of the body, a subject that continues to be of deep interest and research for her.
After 6 years as a yoga student, Pippa went on to complete her teacher training in 2014 and was offered teaching opportunities straight away. Nowadays, Pippa is predominately recognised as a Forrest Yoga teacher - a stronger, steadier form of practice to help the mind and body cultivate strength, grace, ease and integrity. With far over 15,000 hours teaching experience between classes, private tuition, workshops, retreats and trainings, Pippa is now acknowledged as a Senior Yoga Teacher due to her extensive level of teaching experience and training which gives her busy schedule of Private Tuition sessions a variety of offerings to support them with…
She passionately shares a blend of teaching styles to best serve the needs of the class or client; from Hatha Vinyasa (to Advanced level), Yin, Rocket-Inspired and Forrest Yoga (Advanced). She is also a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor and Oxygen Advantage Coach and encourages students to enjoy a variety of movement practices to support their wellbeing. Her work as an Oxygen Advantage Coach has supported a range of client needs from panic attack disturbance, to those aiming for athletic development - including recent work with Paralympian athletes.
Pippa is renowned for her intuitive ability to help her students through breath, movement, coaching, nurturing physical assists or energetic engagement. Since her work with Private Tuition clients regularly calls for a deeper level of therapeutic healing, Pippa not only trained as a Life Coach but is privately trained to a second degree of classical Reiki Healing. As an effective Bodyworker, Pippa is currently undergoing career development work as a Myofascial Therapist - a profound soft-tissue therapy that works on the subtle reorganising of tissue cells that can release tension in the body from physical and emotional tightening. She is particularly passionate to work with the cranial-sacral system.
As a proud co-founder and director of Cucumber Fields since its birth in 2020, she hopes to share the variety of life-changing practices with all students she comes to guide. “My journey as a teacher and as a yogi continues to blossom, I love how much I am forever learning from students, teachers, training and the experiences of life - opportunity is in everything. I am grateful for it all.”
