About Jambo

Jambo Truong is a globally renowned Yoga & Meditation Teacher and Bodywork Specialist with mastery in Chinese Medicine, Anatomy and Biomechanics as well as various Energetic and Shamanic therapies. 

He has been, and continues to be the teacher and greatest influence to a couple of our own advanced teachers within Cucumber Fields and has previously delivered two of the most memorable days with us here, sharing snippets of his insightful wisdom and oodles of his joyful energy to a room full of students and fellow professionals alike. 

Event Overview

Many people assume joint restriction improves by stretching further or ‘more'. In reality, joints often feel compressed when the body doesn't distribute weight well. Certain joints (like hips or shoulders) become compressed or feel restricted as they hold excess pressure. This workshop explores how to move "from the ground up" so that pressure doesn't get trapped in one spot.

Jambo’s enlightening workshop integrates a wealth of knowledge; expect a deep dive into yoga asana, somatic practices, energetics and applied bodywork to explore different response patterns of our biomechanics (body’s movement).

  • Explore how breathing influences pelvic and rib positioning. 

  • Understand how standing and gait patterns (foot alignment) can influence hip and shoulder compression.

  • Practice yoga asana sequences designed to redistribute effort for ease of movement.

  • Use somatic drills to refine coordination and joint support.

  • Discover how energetic pathways influence structural tension.

  • Experience how releasing specific fascial and energetic meridian lines through the body can transform pelvic mobility and reduce recurring compression patterns, creating lasting change.

As compression reduces and load redistributes, joints feel lighter, more supported, and more available for movement.

This is a workshop that is ideal for yoga students and movement teachers alike (CPD points available); all attendees leave with practical tools for yoga teaching or self practice with therapeutic sequencing, hands on application, and a deeper understanding of how structural and energetic systems interrelate.

We work with carefully selected local caterers that we cherish and love to work with for our retreat days.

Herbal teas will also be provided throughout the day.

Barista coffees, Blendsmiths lattes, a selection of cold drinks and freshly baked treats are also available to purchase at our Pantry counter.
